Audio signals won't hurt you or start a fire. You could bypass those and it would sound a lot better, by the way, if you can control the amplitude elsewhere (like on the digitally controlled source driving your speakers, maybe?).
You have two stereo channels and maybe shielding, and the two potentiometers in the black dongle.
You won't hurt anything by removing connectors, cutting off plugs, and connecting the wires. If the plastic other end is broken, I have no idea. If it is the pin-end - you can either straighten the pins, and try to fix the connection, or cut off the dang thing, carefully strip the outside plastic, likely peel back and twist the shielding foil, then find 4 wires that you could make 2 stereo connections out of. Maybe with 2 or 4 pins inside? The other end looks like it may have plugs? The others are correct - the easiest way (if you have the cash) to solve this may be to buy a new one.īut which end is damaged? One end looks like some weird multi-pin-thing.
